| OKC’s Autumn Extravaganza was another wonderful event for OhKentuckiana Kennel Club. Despite the cold temperature on Friday night, we had an impressive turnout for the Weight Pulling seminar. With frost still on the ground, we kicked things off early Saturday morning with Tracking/Article Search. As the day began to warm up, we held trials in Obedience and Agility for all levels of competition. We also had some wonderful dogs complete and pass our Canine Companion Certification Program. Later that evening we held our sanctioned Weight Pull. We would like to congratulate “Dineo” for winning Most Weight Pulled and “Dixie” for winning Pound x Pound. Sunday morning OKC held its first sanctioned Retriever Trial; congratulations to “Goose” for showing us how it’s done. After lunch we began our Junior Handler events. OKC has some spectacular and energetic young handlers that show us how rewarding it can be to train your canine companion. We would like to encourage these young ladies to keep up the good work. We concluded this event with our Conformation “Fun” Match. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend for both dogs and owners to compete. We would like to congratulate everyone who passed their events and say “thank you” to our sponsors who provided the prize packs and everyone who came out to support this awesome club. |
