OhKentuckiana Kennel Club started their event off early Friday morning with the local television station WKYT coming out to interview us for Wake Up Kentucky. In the interview we talked about OKC training and CKC along with demonstrations of Weight Pulling, Junior Handler, and Dog Scootering. Friday night we held a seminar with an overview of our *NEW* Preferred Breeders Program. Saturday morning we started our trials for the junior handlers. We had two outstanding young ladies compete, Alison Gibson and Elizabeth Herrington, who both completed their novice levels and began working on their intermediate levels. These two juniors are well on their way to becoming awesome canine handlers. We concluded the day with a Weight Pull Competition. Congratulations to Dixie for winning Overall Most Weight Pull. Sunday morning WKYT came back out to tape some of our Retriever demonstrations to air on the new later that night. We had a few dogs complete and pass their CCCP. We ended this event with a Conformation “fun” match that consisted of Labradors. Congratulations to Rain for winning overall Best In Show. Congratulations to everyone who passed in their event and thanks to our sponsors who provided prize packs to the winners.
