Continental Kennel Club has developed a new canine training program for implementation at the high school and junior high level – the CKC Canine Care & Training Program, or CCTP for short. The program consists of 3 parts: teacher training, classroom instruction, and hands-on activities with dogs.
The program is available to high school students in participating states. Teachers must be certified at each level in order to teach Basic Canine Care. Students complete a workbook, do at-home projects, and receive classroom teaching.
Students will also participate in hands-on training sessions hosted by CKC instructors. This helps students discover for themselves all of the aspects that go into Canine Care and Training.
